My Approach

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely recognized and effective form of psychotherapy. It focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, with the understanding that changing negative or distorted thoughts can lead to healthier emotions and behaviors. We will work collaboratively to identify and challenge maladaptive thoughts and beliefs, replacing them with more realistic ones. With CBT you will develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills.

ACT

Acceptance and commitment therapy is a psychotherapy that fosters psychological flexibility and meaningful lives. It promotes acceptance of thoughts, emotions, and sensations, including discomfort. ACT emphasizes taking action aligned with values, not being controlled by thoughts or avoiding emotions. The goal is mindfulness and psychological flexibility to navigate challenges. ACT helps individuals embrace experiences, connect with values, and take committed action for a fulfilling existence.

DBT

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that aims to help individuals build skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT encourages individuals to balance acceptance and change, helping them to develop a more constructive approach to managing their emotions and behaviors. DBT offers a comprehensive and structured approach to promoting long-term behavioral changes.
